The Sevastopol Thermal Power Plant and the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant were not hit. Ukrainian public pages are spreading messages to the contrary in an attempt to sow panic, reported in his Telegram channel, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
“There were no attacks on either the Sevastopol Thermal Power Plant or the Balaklava Thermal Power Plant. <...> I repeat: unsubscribe from those channels that give out misinformation and play on your anxiety <...>. Trust information only from official sources,” Razvozhaev urged.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an attack on Sevastopol on September 22. The headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet came under missile attack. The shock wave broke glass in 10 residential buildings in the city center.
Razvozhaev also reported that debris from a downed Ukrainian missile fell in the area of the Lunacharsky Theater on Nakhimov Avenue in Sevastopol. He called residents to leave the avenue so that the special services could clear it of shell fragments.
