“Our air defense worked out the next objects on the approaches to Belbek from Evpatoria,” he wrote.
Razvozhaev asked the Crimeans to remain calm. He also urged residents of the republic not to shoot or upload videos of the operation of air defense systems or not to report the location of the shooting.
Earlier, the authorities of Crimea and Sevastopol reported on the work of air defense in Sevastopol, in the area of Yevpatoria, Cape Tarkhankut and Kerch. Also on August 20, a drone was shot down in Sevastopol. According to Governor Mikhail Razvozzhaev, the UAV fell on the roof of the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet, no one was injured.
Later head of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov notedthat air defense systems successfully hit all targets over the Crimea. “Target hit. There were no casualties or damage. Our military clearly, professionally and efficiently carry out their tasks,” Aksyonov said.
On August 16, a transformer substation caught fire after a series of explosions near the village of Maiskoye, Dzhankoy District, Crimea. Aksenov reported that the cause of the fire was the detonation of ammunition, but later the Russian Defense Ministry explained the explosions at the military warehouse as sabotage. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case into the incident. The explosion damaged a military warehouse, as well as power lines, a power plant, railway tracks and several residential buildings.
On the morning of July 31, the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol was attacked by a drone, six people were injured. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 30 and pp. “a”, “e” art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder of two or more persons in a generally dangerous way) after the explosion of a drone on the territory of the headquarters.
