The Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) tonight dropped an explosive device from a drone in the border village of Dronovka, Kursk region, damaging the roof of the local House of Culture, Governor Roman Starovoit said.
“On Saturday night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine dropped an explosive device from a drone onto the roof of the House of Culture in the village of Dronovka, Glushkovsky District,” – wrote the head of the region in his Telegram channel.
According to regional authorities, no one was injured in the incident. The fragments slightly damaged the windows and facades of the nearby buildings of the feldsher-obstetric station and the village council. The facilities are being inspected by specialists from the demining group, Starovoit added.
A day earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at the Glushkovsky and Korenevsky districts of the Kursk region, Starovoit wrote. There were no casualties, but the village of Gordeevka remained without electricity. At the same time, the Glushkovsky district came under fire twice on March 31: according to the authorities of the region, five arrivals in the vicinity of the village of Tetkino “did not entail any consequences,” and one of the two attacks on the village of Krasnooktyabrsky fell on a private garage, it was completely destroyed by fire.
On March 2, security measures on the border with Ukraine were strengthened in the region. This decision was made against the background of the penetration of a group of Ukrainian saboteurs into the Bryansk region, which opened fire on the car. As a result of the incident, two people died, a child was injured.
In early February, the high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat was also indefinitely extended in the Kursk region. In addition, since October 19, 2022, the “medium response” regime has been in effect in the region. Such a regime has been established in seven more regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Bryansk, Voronezh, Belgorod and Rostov regions.
