In the Krasnodar Territory, Governor Veniamin Kondratyev presented another area that he invites tourists to visit. This time, in the #Kuban Routes series, he spoke about the tourism potential of the Novokubansky district.
“At one time, writers Alexander Solzhenitsyn and Alexander Pushkin often visited here, the famous surgeon Nikolai Pirogov worked. Many will also be interested in visiting the ancient fortress and the city garden with a memorial complex,” the head of the region said on social networks. House of Zakhar Shcherbak. A two-story mansion built in 1905. Nobel laureate writer Alexander Solzhenitsyn, who was the grandson of the owner of the house, spent his childhood there.
Voskhod stud farm. Operating since 1920, it is still the flagship of horse breeding. The company was founded by Baron Rudolf von Steingel.
Pushkin places. The poet visited these places during his travels to the Caucasus. In particular, he drove along the highway and through the fortifications located in this area. A monument in memory of this was erected in the village of Prochnookopskaya.
Fortstadt. At the top of Strizhibkina Mountain there is a settlement, which was organized for the employees of the garrison of the Prochny Okop fortress. A modern tourist can visit a chapel and a museum of military equipment there.
