The government will allocate another 21.5 billion rubles for soft loans to backbone enterprises

The Russian government will additionally allocate about 21.5 billion rubles. to finance preferential loans for backbone enterprises in the fields of industry and trade. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Mr. Mishustin noted that the government launched a loan support program for backbone organizations in 2022. “We have helped hundreds of companies, which are key to our economy, get through the most difficult period after the emergence of new challenges. For someone – to reduce the time of adaptation, for someone – to rebuild commodity chains more quickly and, most importantly, to save the necessary jobs, ”— said prime minister during the meeting.

According to Mikhail Mishustin, the allocation of another 21.5 billion rubles. will allow until the end of the loan agreements for up to a year not to change the preferential rates approved in them. The decision will affect almost 800 borrowing companies.

On March 17 last year, backbone organizations began to receive preferential loans from Russian banks to replenish working capital for up to 12 months at 11% per annum. 16 banks took part in the implementation of the program. The maximum amount of concessional loans for small and medium-sized enterprises is set at up to 10 billion rubles, for a backbone organization or group of companies – up to 30 billion rubles.
