The government will allocate 12.8 billion rubles to support the labor market

The Russian government extended until the end of 2023 measures to support the labor market and prevent unemployment in the face of Western sanctions, the corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to website cabinet.

Support measures, as noted, will allow temporary employment of more than 176,000 people. The federal budget provides for more than 12.8 billion rubles for these purposes. As explained in the government, we are talking about an operating mechanism that helps employers in creating temporary jobs for citizens at risk of dismissal. In addition, employers are supported in the organization of paid public works for those who have registered with the labor exchange, as well as in the organization of vocational training for employees of industrial enterprises who are at risk of becoming unemployed.

“The costs of employers in these areas are partially reimbursed by the state. In particular, they are compensated for the costs of remuneration of such employees and the material and technical equipment of their workplaces.

In March, Mishustin ordered allocate more than 39 billion rubles to support the labor market and prevent unemployment in the face of sanctions. It was reported that more than 25.5 billion rubles. from the allocated funds will be used to create temporary jobs in the regions of Russia for citizens who may be left without work. Another almost 6 billion rubles. were intended to provide grants to non-profit organizations for conducting retraining courses.
