Now the fine for selling tobacco to children is up to 60 thousand rubles. for citizens, up to 300 thousand rubles. for officials, up to 600 thousand rubles. for legal entities. The politician proposed increasing fines to 200 thousand rubles. for citizens, up to 400 thousand rubles. for officials, up to 800 thousand rubles. for companies, or suspend the activities of violators for up to 90 days.
The government said that "the idea of establishing responsibility for the offense in question is supported." But the authorities clarified that strengthening administrative responsibility “should be based on law enforcement practice, statistics and other objective data,” but there is no such information in the explanatory note to the project.
