The Russian government is discussing the possible launch of a digital platform on which educational and methodological materials will be posted for studying the Russian language by foreign citizens coming to the country to work. This is reported on website Cabinet
The digital format is designed to facilitate and speed up the learning process for migrant workers, for whom knowledge of the Russian language will be a great advantage when finding employment and will help them quickly adapt to a new country. Also during the strategic session, the government discussed the creation of electronic registers of foreign citizens and employers and the transfer of all types of interaction between government bodies and foreign citizens to an online format, which will strengthen control over migrants.
Strategic sessions of the government are aimed at ensuring the concept of the state migration policy of Russia until 2025. The concept was approved by the President of Russia in 2012 and is being implemented in stages. The main directions of migration policy include attracting the labor force Russia needs, adapting migrants and suppressing illegal migration.
