Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order to increase the government’s reserve fund by 1.375 billion rubles. at the expense of unused subsidies from the general income of the federal budget. The document was published on the official Internet portal legal information.
The government’s reserve fund was created to finance contingencies and measures of federal significance that are not provided for in the budget law for the corresponding financial year.
In March, the Accounts Chamber reported that the volume of unfulfilled federal budget funds in 2022 amounted to 784 billion rubles. This amount includes the consolidation of funds in the reserve fund for operational financing of expenses beyond the limits.
Expenses for 2023 are planned in the amount of 29 trillion rubles, revenues – 26.1 trillion rubles. The deficit is planned in the amount of 2.9 trillion rubles.
