The government has submitted to the State Duma a bill to increase the average pension of non-working pensioners, should from the Duma electronic database.
The implementation of the project, according to its authors, will increase the level of pension provision for all non-working insurance pension recipients – this is about 32.6 million people.
“Including military pensioners who receive, along with the state pension, an old-age insurance pension (with the exception of a fixed payment to it),” the explanatory note clarifies.
From January 2024, the average pension amount for non-working insurance pension recipients may increase by 1,572 rubles, after recalculation amounting to 22,605 rubles. The average pension amount for non-working old-age insurance pension recipients will increase by 1,631 rubles. and after the increase it will be 23,449 rubles.

On September 12, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development published a forecast for inflation in 2023, wrote Vedomosti with a link to the document. For 2024, the forecast changed from 4% to 4.5%. Indicators for 2025 and 2026 remained the same – at the level of 4%. As specified in the text of the forecast, the increase in inflation is associated with fluctuations in the ruble exchange rate, which may affect prices towards the end of the year.
