The Russian government has approved a draft law on the creation of a free economic zone in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, as well as in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics. This was reported press office cabinet of ministers.
The special regime on the territory of economic zones will include: a special taxation procedure, subsidies for reimbursement of interest rates on loans (up to 100% of the refinancing rate), a free customs zone.
As reported RBC citing sources, the free economic zone on the territory of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will operate until the end of 2050, in Crimea and Sevastopol – until the end of 2039. According to the publication, the law on the creation of a free economic zone in the new four regions will come into force on January 1, 2024.
