The draft law on strengthening the responsibility for drivers for violating silence at night was approved by the Russian Cabinet of Ministers, subject to its finalization in accordance with these comments. This was reported in the recall of the Cabinet of Ministers.
In accordance with the document prepared by the Moscow City Duma, it is proposed to introduce a fine for breaking the silence, depending on the engine power. It is assumed that the violation of silence will be recorded automatically by cameras equipped with sound level meters.
The current fines are proposed to be increased tenfold, and vehicles with modified mufflers should be placed in a special parking lot.
After completion, the bill is planned to be submitted to the State Duma.
