The government approved fines for disrupting the preparation of military defense – Kommersant

The Government Commission on Legislative Activities approved the bill of the Russian Ministry of Defense, according to which fines are introduced for non-fulfillment or improper fulfillment of tasks for organizing territorial defense, writes TASS with reference to sources. Sources RBC reported that the commission approved two bills.
According to the bills, changes will be made to Art. 20.36 of the administrative code “Violation of requirements in the field of territorial defense.” The fine will range from 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles. Military commissariats will consider such cases.
The explanatory note to the bill states that preparation of territorial defense includes protecting the interests and security of the country and ensuring public safety. In addition, this activity includes the protection of military and government facilities, as well as transport and energy infrastructure, communications and communication facilities.
After the outbreak of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, territorial defense was organized in the Belgorod, Kursk, Pskov and Oryol regions. The procedure for deploying and conducting territorial defense is determined by headquarters, headed by governors and heads of regions.
