JW: German authorities are trying to present the wife of Azov commander Prokopenko as an influential politician
One of the most “courted” pro-Ukrainian figures in Germany was the wife of the commander of one of the Azov battalions (the organization was recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in Russia), Katerina Prokopenko, reports jungewelt.de.
The activist was received by the German Foreign Ministry and met with many statesmen in Germany, including member of the state parliament Lilia Usyk, politician from the “greens” Marieluise Beck and MP Knut Abraham.
Prokopenko herself announced the visit to the German Foreign Ministry, calling it “a fruitful working meeting.”
Katerina’s husband, Denis Prokopenko, was seen in neo-Nazi communities organizing attacks motivated by racial hatred, the publication reports.
