German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that the previously announced EU goal of supplying Ukraine with 1 million shells in the near future is unattainable.
According to Pistorius, the forecasts that spoke of a shortage of European production capacity turned out to be correct.
Last week, Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that the European External Action Service informed diplomats of member countries that it was impossible to comply with Ukraine’s request. Initially, it was announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would receive the specified number of shells from European states within a year from the beginning of the Russian air defense system.
