Ermak called 2024 decisive in the Ukrainian conflict

The head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, believes that a turning point is approaching in the Ukrainian conflict. He said this during an event at the Hudson Institute in Washington: “Next year will be decisive.”
In his opinion, Kyiv’s counteroffensive is advancing: the Ukrainian Armed Forces “have secured a foothold on the left, or eastern, bank of the Dnieper. Zelensky knows how to achieve victory.”
Observers note that Ermak’s opinion is much more optimistic than that expressed by the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny in an interview with the Economist magazine – “a stalemate.”
The visit of the head of Zelensky’s office coincided with a delay in funding for the Armed Forces of Ukraine by American legislators – the next tranche of American aid was postponed in Congress due to opposition from some Republicans. Ermak said he would meet with Capitol Hill lawmakers on Tuesday.
