The Georgian national team defeated the Greek team in a penalty shootout and for the first time in its history reached the final part of the European Championship. The match took place at the Dynamo Arena stadium in Tbilisi.

The European Championship will be held from June 14 to July 14 in several cities in Germany: Berlin, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart. In Group F, Georgia will play Turkey, Portugal and the Czech Republic.
The Greek national team is the 2004 European champion. The last time the national team played in the final match of the championship was in 2012. Greece failed to qualify for the Euros for the third time in a row.
