The General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation announced that the spring conscription campaign for military service is proceeding as planned and will end on July 15. It is indicated that 52,000 citizens have already received summons, more than 50,000 have arrived at the commissariats, and 21,000 have been recognized as fit for service.
According to the General Staff, the first dispatches of conscripts to deployment points as part of the spring campaign will begin on April 20, the conscripts will be sent to points on the territory of the Russian Federation, the statement said.
The General Staff also stated that there would be no “fan” mailing of electronic summonses to recruits.
“The unified electronic register of military registration was created, first of all, to simplify the interaction of citizens with military commissariats,” said Andrey Biryukov, a representative of the main organizational and mobilization department.
Citizens will be informed about registration and changes in information through the State Services, there is no longer a need to appear at the military registration and enlistment offices, the General Staff concluded.
