General Director of New Holland Konashenok quit because of her husband’s post about Crocus

The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported RBCthat posts containing “extremist signs” were discovered on social networks, and the author of these posts was detained at Pulkovo airport. “He was taken to the police station for the necessary procedures. Currently, the issue of initiating a criminal case is being considered,” the police said.

We are talking about a post on Facebook (owned by Meta, whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned), in which Konashenok expressed surprise at the attack on Crocus, and not on the Kremlin. His statements were disseminated through telegram channels and attracted criticism.

In a video released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Konashenok apologized for his words. “My remarks have been misinterpreted by the general public as supporting terrorism. I deeply apologize to everyone. I do not support terrorism. A terrible crime has occurred that is causing us all pain. I once again sincerely apologize to everyone,” he said in the video.

Shatunovskaya has held the position of general director of New Holland since 2011. She is also the ideologist of this project.

Konashenok is a yachtsman, translator and founder of the Zubrovka furniture studio.

According to the latest data, as a result of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall on March 22, 139 people were killed and more than 180 were injured. The FSB announced the detention of 11 people, seven of them were sent into custody by the court.
