The party “United Russia” during the meeting of the General Council announced the names of four candidates for by-elections to the State Duma in single-mandate constituencies. Among them were Soltan Uzdenov (from the Karachay-Cherkess single-mandate constituency No. 16), Yuri Nesterenko (Simferopol constituency No. 19), Dmitry Averov (Lipetsk constituency No. 114) and Sergey Eremin (Divnogorsk constituency No. 56), RIA Novosti reports. .
Secretary of the General Council of the party Andrey Turchak during the meeting recalled that United Russia candidates for participation in the by-elections, which will be held on September 10, are determined by preliminary electronic voting. It took place from 22 to 28 May at portal preliminary vote.
Mr. Turchak said that by-elections are being held in four single-mandate constituencies – in Karachay-Cherkessia, Crimea, the Lipetsk Region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory. “For these constituencies, preliminary voting took place and the competition amounted to nine people per seat, which is a fairly high indicator of the competitive procedure,” he said.
According to the agency, Deputy of the City Duma of Cherkessk Soltan Uzdenov scored 74% of the vote in the preliminary voting, Yuri Nesterenko, Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy of the Simferopol City Council – 73%, Dmitry Averov, Chairman of the Council of Deputies of the Lipetsk Region – 74%, former head of Krasnoyarsk Sergey Eremin – 87% .
