The organizing committee of the Games of the Future decided to expand the championship in Kazan to 21 disciplines, said project manager Igor Stolyarov.
12 sports facilities are planned in Kazan. There were previously 16 disciplines, then the concepts of “main program” and “extended program” were introduced: there were 16 disciplines in the main one, 5 were added to the extended one, making 21.
Over one hundred countries will be able to participate in the Games.
The opening ceremony of the “Games of the Future” will take place in Kazan on February 23, 2024. They will run until March 2. Game disciplines are played in the “phygital” format (physical + digital), including classic and e-sports.
