The future of Russian technologies: the “Russian Engineer” Congress began in Baumanka

The set of events started on Monday, October 30, at MSTU. N.E. Bauman. The main goal of the Congress, which brought together scientists, engineers and teachers, is the strategy for the development of Russian engineering education.
The Congress began with a plenary session “Educating the engineers of the future: learning through science and practice.” The meeting was attended by the rector of MSTU. N.E. Bauman Mikhail Gordin, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Chernyshev, Managing Director of Rostec for Research Activities Elena Druzhinina, Deputy. Vice President for Educational Projects of VK LLC Anna Stepanova and Vice President of JSC JSCB NOVIKOMBANK Said Aminov.
“…The whole country is now focusing on technological sovereignty and critical technologies first and foremost. Critical technologies should develop closer to enterprises, to production, and technical universities are actively participating in this work,” said the rector of MSTU. N.E. Bauman Mikhail Gordin during the welcoming speech.
The meeting participants emphasized the high priority of engineering education in Russia. Mikhail Gordin recalled the Concept of Scientific and Technological Development of Russia, which reflects two groups of technologies for producing products and ensuring leadership in the future.
“…A serious role in the development of end-to-end technologies today belongs to universities and industry institutes. Universities, including Baumanka, in alliance with other scientific and industrial institutions, also participate in this process. And in the production of personnel, our university can claim a leading role,” summed up the rector of Baumanka. The XVIII All-Russian Youth Scientific and Engineering Exhibition “Polytechnics” will take place as part of the event. And at the “Russian Engineer” conference, innovative methods and technologies will be presented to improve the quality of Russian engineering education.
