The funeral of Vyacheslav Zaitsev was strange: relatives quarreled, the stars ignored

In general, Vyacheslav Zaitsev was buried with dignity. Relatives purchased a solid coffin, ordered a funeral service at a local church, and organized a modest memorial service at the cemetery. A place at the Zhegalovsky cemetery was allocated to Zaitsev free of charge – as the churchyard employees said.

There are no requirements for the event. There are questions for Zaitsev’s friends.

After the departure of the fashion designer, about hundreds of stars expressed their condolences on social networks. But only five people came to the funeral.

But Sergei Zverev approached the heir to the couturier. It can be seen that the stylist was preparing for a public event. He looked smart: a black hat, a suit, a huge chiffon bow on his jacket. He leaned over the fashion designer’s coffin and whispered something for a long time.

Next to Zverev was the actor Vanguard Leontiev. A little later, Tatyana Mikhalkova came up – they brought her a chair. After the funeral they all left Shchelkovo.

Of the famous people, only Bedros Kirkorov reached the cemetery. The people’s artist was accompanied by strong men. It was difficult for him to move on his own. The artist willingly gave interviews to journalists. At the cemetery, he delivered a speech: “I didn’t intend to come here. But today I got up at 4 in the morning, did gymnastics and felt such a charge of energy that I decided to go. Goodbye, Slava, we’ll see you in a while.”

Then Bedros addressed the audience with patriotic words: “And I also want to say: victory will be for Russia, no matter how we are surrounded by enemies.”

I asked Kirkorov Sr. why his son ignored the funeral: “Philip is now on tour in St. Petersburg. If Slava had been buried yesterday, he would have come. But today he can’t. But he will definitely come to Yudashkin. And I’ll be there too, but how about it.

I noticed that there were not so many mourning wreaths. Most turned out to be from cheap artificial flowers. On the ribbons it was written: “From the Commissioner for Human Rights, from the Pavlovo Posad Shawl Manufactory”, the council of the Meshchansky District, from Zurab Tsereteli, Nadezhda Babkina, the Kirkorov family and Kobzon. No matter how much I looked for a wreath from Alla Pugacheva, I did not see it.

Zaitsev’s relatives – son Yegor and granddaughter Marusya – refused to communicate with the press. And they hardly spoke to each other. In the temple, the girl refused to stand next to her father, she had to be persuaded. They came to the cemetery separately.

Perhaps the father and daughter quarreled with the story of the burial place of Vyacheslav Zaitsev. After the death of the fashion designer, Marusya mentioned to journalists that she considers Shchelkovo an unsuccessful choice for parting, but she could not influence her father’s decision. Earlier, the girl admitted that, if it were her will, she would have organized a funeral ceremony at the Fashion House, and a funeral at the Troekurovsky or Novodevichy cemetery.

Near the temple, I talked with Vyacheslav Zaitsev’s neighbors on a country estate in the village of Kablukovo. Most of them agreed with the granddaughter of the deceased. And they also expressed dissatisfaction with Yegor: “We lived next to Slava for so many years, we went to visit each other, and his son didn’t even call us to the wake. It’s not good somehow. Let’s gather now in a narrow circle.”

One of Zaitsev’s closest neighbors shared his vision of the situation: “It’s a good cemetery, why is everyone outraged? It also surprises me that everyone calls Slava naive. This is wrong.

He was quite reasonable and very hospitable. He accepted absolutely everyone. He didn’t even make enemies in his long life. He was a deeply religious person.

The last time I was visiting him was with our father from Kablukov. We sat in his chic dining room, talked for about two hours talking. And Slava endured. He retained clarity of consciousness to the last, he understood everything.

As for the quarrel with my son, as I understand it, they had a different vision of beauty, which is why they parted. Egor worked for bikers, Slava preferred a different fashion.

I can’t say that Yegor often visited his father, but sometimes he came. And granddaughter Marusya looked in. And those people who allegedly looked after Zaitsev at one time quickly disappeared. As they were carried away by the wind, they were carried away. Still next to Slava was the woman of his life – this is his student. They had a spiritual connection.”

According to the interlocutor, the death of the fashion designer came as a surprise to everyone: “He went to Moscow the day before, he felt good. I think if Slava ended up in a Moscow hospital, he could have been saved. True, it would hardly have been possible to take him to the capital. None of his relatives lie in the cemetery where they decided to bury him. I think his parents are buried in Ivanovo, where he comes from.”

We touched on the topic of the special operation. “Slava never spoke out on this topic, did not discuss it,” his neighbor explained.

Lydia Sokolova-Serbskaya, the great-granddaughter of a psychiatrist, one of the founders of forensic psychiatry in Russia, came to say goodbye to the fashion designer. The woman talked for a long time about her friendship with Zaitsev and at the end added: “Slava always joked that all creative people need to consult at the Serbsky Institute.”

Among the locals was Nina Pavlovna, whose daughter works in the morgue where the body of the fashion designer was kept: “I didn’t know Zaitsev, but my daughter told me a lot about him. It’s a pity he died. But what to do. I barely got here, you see, I’m standing with a stick. To be honest, the place chosen for parting is strange.”

During the farewell to the fashion designer, several dozen local residents crowded behind the fence. People were embarrassed to enter the territory of the temple, although the entrance was free for everyone.

“We have never seen so many beautiful people,” admitted the woman who was stuck to the fence. – It’s kind of awkward for us to stand next to them. And we are afraid that suddenly they will ask for a pass …

Vyacheslav Zaitsev was buried in a bright suit, a brooch shone on his chest. His trademark hat, which he wore at all public events, was placed in the coffin.
