The Federal Security Service will have round-the-clock access to databases of passenger taxis, TASS reports, citing the text of the decree of the Prime Minister.
Access to relevant information systems will also be provided. Thus, taxi aggregators will be required to provide law enforcers with round-the-clock remote access to information systems and databases used to receive, store, process and transfer passenger taxi orders in the manner established for information dissemination organizers on the Internet information and telecommunications network.
As reported, the innovations will come into force on September 1, 2023. The document also defines the terms for providing information – in case of an urgent request within three days, and within 10 days if the request is not marked accordingly.
Also, aggregators will be required to explain the reasons why the required information cannot be provided. Taxi services also have an obligation to keep the details of cooperation secret.
