The Federal Security Service has published a list of information in the field of military and military-technical activities that can be used against Russia when obtained by foreign sources. This information is not classified as a state secret, but for collecting it, an individual can be recognized as a foreign agent. Document published on portal legal information.
The list was supplemented with information “on transportation, routes of transportation and movement” of the armed forces, employees of the National Guard, intelligence services and other law enforcement agencies. The list of such information consists of 60 items. The document will enter into force on December 1, 2022. The previous list, approved on September 28, 2021, has been declared invalid.
The list of information was created by the FSB in accordance with the federal law “On measures of influence on persons involved in violations of fundamental human rights and freedoms, rights and freedoms of citizens of the Russian Federation.” Article No. 2.1 of this law states that an individual can be recognized as a foreign agent if he collects information from this list in the interests of a foreign source. The law does not cover cases when a person collects information provided for by criminal articles on treason or espionage.
