The former mayor of the city of Energodar, Zaporozhye region, Oleksandr Volga, said that he was considering a proposal to move to a higher position.
Earlier, the media reported that Volga was removed from the post of mayor of Energodar by the decision of the region’s leadership. It was also reported that he was banned from being in the region.
In a comment to Izvestia, Volga said that he is currently on vacation.
“I am considering an offer for a higher position. No decision has been made,” he said.
Alexander Volga held the post of mayor of Energodar since the summer, replacing Andrey Shevchik, who was assassinated.
On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions signed agreements on the annexation of regions to Russia and the formation of new subjects within the Russian Federation.
