The former head of the Ministry of State Property Management of the Sverdlovsk Region (MUGISO) Alexei Pyankov, who is under investigation, left for the special operation zone in Ukraine. This happened at the stage of acquaintance of the defendant with the materials of the criminal case.
As transmits 66.RU, Pyankov left for the SVO a few days before the deadline for familiarization with the materials of the criminal case. Now, legally, the investigation cannot be considered complete. At the same time, the court chose a measure of restraint in the form of bail for Pyankov.
While the security forces are looking for a way to return Pyankov to Yekaterinburg. As Pyankov’s lawyer Nikolai Kargapolov noted, the departure of his client to Ukraine does not violate Russian law.
In December 2021, MK Ural informedthat the investigating authorities have completed work on the case of Alexei Pyankov. According to the new accusation, the former official is suspected of creating a criminal group and taking a bribe. This group was engaged in the withdrawal of budgetary funds through shell companies and offshore companies that are registered in Cyprus and Belize.
Before that, the lawyers assured that the criminal case on a bribe of 31 million rubles was custom-made and political. They claimed that even the initiator of this “order” was known.
