The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs included the former head of the Main Investigation Department of the RF IC, Dmitry Dovgiy, into the database of wanted persons. The document notes that he is wanted on a criminal charge.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Basmanny Court decided to arrest Dovgiy in absentia, who is suspected of fraud on an especially large scale. According to media reports, Dovgy is currently in Israel.

Let us recall that Dovgy held a high position in the RF IC in 2007-2008. In 2008, he was stripped of the rank of Major General of Justice, and in 2009 he was sentenced to 9 years in prison for a bribe of 750 thousand US dollars.

Dovgy was released in 2014 on parole and began working as a lawyer. However, in April of this year, a criminal case was brought against him again.
