“It’s already clear that this RPL season will be the most interesting over the past 5 years. There will be a little intrigue, because Zenit’s competitors have become stronger, strengthened their squads. But Zenit will still become a champion – no one has such game resources as they have”, – said the Czech specialist to the publication “RB Sport“.
3 rounds have been played in the RPL, the 4th round starts on Friday, August 11. “Zenith” will play with “Torch” from Voronezh.
At the moment, Spartak Moscow is leading the championship standings, Zenit is in a modest 7th place.
Petrzhela on this occasion said that it would not be difficult for the Petersburgers to return to the first place.
“Now it’s just the beginning of the championship. So it’s too early to say that the champion will change. I wouldn’t be so sure of that,” said the former helmsman of the club from St. Petersburg.
The 70-year-old coach coached Zenit from autumn 2002 to spring 2006.
