The Russian Foreign Ministry requested a transcript of the speech of the head of the EU foreign service, Josep Borrell, after his words about “fascist Russia”. About it informed Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Lavrov said that yesterday, during the inter-parliamentary conference of the European Parliament in Prague, an Estonian deputy used similar formulations when asking Borrell a question. The same, answering him, said that the EU does not yet have “a specific plan on how to defeat fascist Russia and the fascist regime.”

“That is, the goal is not questioned, it’s just that a concrete plan has not yet been invented,” Lavrov said.

The minister noted that Borrell’s office then denied these reports, pointing out that he spoke in Spanish and the translation was erroneous. “We asked Mr. Borrell’s office for a transcript of the speech in Spanish, they don’t give it to us. We will strive for complete clarity and if we do not receive this transcript today, then we will draw the appropriate conclusions,” he said.

This is far from the first time that Borrell, who is “nothing but the head of diplomacy” of the European Union, forgets about diplomatic methods, Lavrov said, recalling his statements about the need “defeat Russia on the battlefield”and increase the supply of weapons to Ukraine.

If the media information is confirmed, then Moscow will have “very big questions about how to continue to do business with these people,” the minister stressed.

Earlier, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the words of Borrell, declared TASS that the head of the EU foreign service thus nullifies himself as a diplomat.
