The Foreign Ministry announced the non-fulfillment by the West of the second part of the “grain deal”

Russia would like both parts of the “grain deal” to be carried out in parallel, but at the moment this is not happening, said Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko, transmits Interfax.

“We would like both parts of the deal to work synchronously, in parallel. However, the first part of the deal, related to the export of Ukrainian grain from Ukrainian ports, is working. While the implementation of the second part of the agreement, the memorandum between Russia and the UN, is being implemented worse,” he said.

Rudenko explained that restrictions on the entry of foreign ships into Russian ports and Russian ships into foreign ones remain despite statements from the EU and the US, as well as restrictions on transactions and inflated insurance amounts, he added.

On July 22, representatives of Turkey and the UN signed separate agreements with representatives of Russia and Ukraine on the export of Ukrainian grain, as well as on assistance in the export of Russian grain and fertilizers. On July 27, the Joint Coordination Center for the export of grain began its work in Istanbul.

In early August, the Russian Foreign Ministry recalled that the agreement was of a package nature, calling on Western countries to implement the second part of the agreement. August 20 UN Secretary General António Guterres declaredthat the organization continues to work with the United States and the European Union to remove obstacles to the export of non-sanctioned agricultural products and fertilizers from Russia.

“It is very important that all governments and the private sector work together to ensure that they [Россия] entered the markets,” he said at the time.
