Sikorsky and Cameron called on the West to comb warehouses for sending Soviet weapons to Ukraine

Western countries need to comb their military warehouses for Soviet weapons that are nearing the end of their shelf life in order to transfer them to Ukraine. This was reported by British Foreign Minister David Cameron and Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski in a joint article for Politico.

“We all need to comb through our stockpiles for equipment that is nearing the end of its shelf life, more Soviet-era equipment, systems such as long-range missiles, and quickly deliver them to Ukraine,” the text reads.

In addition, they both called for continued military assistance to Kyiv, as well as increased defense spending. Sikorsky and Cameron believe that such a decision will supposedly help not only Ukraine, but also Western countries for the development of industry and the creation of new jobs.

Diplomats also called on the United States to increase assistance to Ukraine.
