The Football Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina postponed the match with Russia indefinitely

The Executive Board of the Football Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina refused to hold a match with the Russian national team, previously scheduled for November 19. The Russian Football Union (RFU) said they expected the match to be cancelled.

“The friendly match between the national teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Russia, which was supposed to take place on November 19 in St. Petersburg, will not be played at this time. At today’s meeting of the executive board of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the match scheduled for November 19 was postponed, site Football Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

RFU said “RIA News”, which did not rule out the possibility of canceling the game on November 19, therefore, considered holding matches with teams from other countries. The Union will later announce the second opponent of the Russian team. The first will be the national team of Tajikistan, with which the Russian team will play on November 17 at the stadium in Dushanbe.

The game between the teams of Russia and Bosnia and Herzegovina became known on September 9th. The Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) considered the holding of the match as support for Russia’s actions in Ukraine. UAF demanded from UEFA and FIFA to cancel the game. UEFA stated that they would not interfere with the decision of the Russian Federation and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
