The 19th football tournament “The Future Depends on You” for children from orphanages has started. In the Year of the Family, the All-Russian football championship brought together more than 2,000 children from 130 orphanages and boarding schools. The regional stage for the children of the Far East will take place in April in Vladivostok. The tournament is supported by the Unity Foundation, the Russian Football Union, the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and MegaFon.

The “The Future Depends on You” championship lasts from February to April. This year, teams from more than 50 regions of Russia will compete for tickets to matches that will take place in seven cities: Moscow, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk and Vladivostok. Participants from all over the Far East will traditionally gather at the Tiger football arena in Vladivostok. The winners of the regional stage will go to Sochi, where from May 14 to 19, on the football field of the Sirius center, they will compete with teams from other regions of the country for the main prize – a trip to the summer camp of the Dynamo FC Academy. There, for 11 days, the best teams will learn playing techniques according to the methods of the legendary Russian club.

All-Russian competitions “The Future Depends on You” help children socialize and develop physical skills. Over 19 years, more than 41 thousand children – 5 thousand teams from 140 cities – played in the tournament. The tournament helps children travel around the regions of Russia, find friends and a calling, and most importantly, a family.

Let us remind you that last year tickets to the finals of the tournament were played out in Vladivostok. The competition took place at the Tiger football arena. Athletes from Transbaikalia, Primorsky and Khabarovsk territories, Amur, Magadan and Jewish Autonomous Regions took part in it. In total, more than 100 pupils from orphanages and other institutions for children left without parental care entered the field and became winners in their regions. The Green Island team from the Magadan region took first place in the senior age category; it repeatedly won the title of champions of the Far East and reached the finals of the competition. In the younger age category, the winner was the “Sturm” team from the city of Artem, Primorsky Territory. For the first time, the Center for Assistance to the Family Placement of Orphans entered players into the All-Russian tournament, and the guys immediately received the regional cup. It should be noted that football players from orphanages in Primorye have won the Far Eastern stage of the tournament more than once and reached the finals of the competition.
