The first snow won’t last long

Monday, October 31, met the Muscovites with the first snow and windy weather. But this is only a reminder of nature about the impending winter: despite the cold snap, the snow in the capital will not linger for a long time.
In fact, as meteorologists remind, the current cooling is only a return to the temperature norm. After abnormally warm weather on Saturday, October 29, the temperature began to drop sharply against the backdrop of heavy winds and rain with snow. And on Monday morning, Muscovites and residents of the Moscow region saw outside the windows the first snow cover that remained on the surface of the earth.
According to Yevgeny Tishkovets, a leading specialist of the Phobos weather center, on his Telegram channel, a snow cover 1 cm high was recorded at the VDNKh weather station, and in Tushino, snow piled up as much as 5 cm.
On the last day of October, unstable weather will continue in the capital with periodic precipitation in the form of rain and snow and wind gusts up to 18 m/s, the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation reports. The roads may be icy, so drivers should be careful on the road: observe speed limits and keep their distance.
The maximum temperature during the day on October 31 is 3 degrees Celsius.
On Tuesday, November 1, the weather will remain approximately the same in the capital: at night from -2 to 0 degrees, in the daytime from 2 to 4 degrees of heat. The wind will be weaker, however, its speed can reach 10 m/s. Precipitation is also expected – also in the form of rain and snow.
On Wednesday, November 2, the clouds will disperse, the wind will subside, but it will not become warmer: at night from -2 to 0 degrees, in the daytime from 1 to 3 degrees of heat.
The last working day of this week is predicted to be rainless and practically without wind. But at night it will become even colder: it is expected from -4 to -2 degrees. And during the day the air warms up to only 2 degrees above zero.
On Friday and Saturday, November 4 and 5, the temperature will fluctuate from -5 degrees at night to +5 degrees during the day. What pleases: rainfall these days is not yet expected.
