The Russian army received as a trophy the first German infantry fighting vehicle “Marder” (Marder 1A3) from among those transferred by Germany to Ukraine. The soldiers of the 1st Slavic Brigade captured the trophy. They posted a photo of themselves on social networks in front of a German infantry fighting vehicle.

The combat vehicle was hit on the northeastern outskirts of the village of Severnoye in the Avdeevsky direction and remained standing in no man’s land for a long time. But now the fighters managed to completely take possession of the trophy.

In February, several Marder infantry fighting vehicles were hit by Russian Lancet drones. Including one – in the Zaporozhye direction.

“Marder” is a German infantry fighting vehicle. Produced until 1975. In total, about 2,000 combat vehicles were built. Germany transferred several dozen of these machines to Kyiv.

The weight of the infantry fighting vehicle is 28-33 tons, depending on the modification. Landing party – 7 people. It is armed with machine guns, a 20 mm caliber cannon, and anti-tank missiles.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, a bonus of 100 thousand rubles is awarded for a destroyed armored vehicle.
