The first football championship for teams from the new Commonwealth territories will open on March 30.

According to Deputy Minister of Sports Odes Baysultanov, the goal of the championship is the full integration of young athletes into the football family of Greater Russia. In particular, he announced the organization and holding of a united champion in football for children both from new territories and from the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

The championship, which starts on March 30, will feature 10 teams. They will play in 2 rounds.

In 2023, test events as part of the championship have already been held in Yevpatoria, with 12 teams participating. According to Baysultanov, there are currently no obstacles to holding matches and the participation of teams from new regions in them.
