Member of the presidium of the regional political council of United Russia, 58-year-old Marina Levina graduated from the Tula Polytechnic Institute in 1987. She worked as a software engineer, head of a social service center, economist, director of a social rehabilitation center with a shelter for minor children and adolescents, and held positions in the public service. From 2014 to 2019, she worked as deputy chairman of the government of the Tula region and headed the regional Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. Levina was elected to the current convocation of the Tula Regional Duma in 2019, where she headed the social policy committee. Since 2020, he has held the post of first deputy chairman. He is the deputy secretary of the regional branch of United Russia for work with deputies and deputy associations of the party.

After the appointment of a senator from the Tula Regional Duma, two vacant seats will remain in the upper chamber. As a result of the regional elections on September 10, 24 new senators were delegated to the Federation Council, and another 26 members of the upper house of parliament extended their powers.
