The Kherson region, following the Zaporozhye region, declared September 8, the first day of voting in the elections of deputies of the legislative assembly and representative bodies of municipalities, a non-working day. Decree on this by the acting head of the region Vladimir Saldo published in your Telegram channel.
“So that every resident of the Kherson region can show their civic position – to vote in the elections of deputies of the Kherson Regional Duma and representative bodies of municipalities in the Kherson region of the first convocation – I decided to make September 8 a non-working day,” commented Saldo’s decree.

A single voting day (EDV) is scheduled for September 10 in Russia. Elections from September 8 to 10 will also be held in new regions – the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. Residents will elect deputies of local legislative assemblies, which in turn will vote to elect the heads of subjects.
Early voting for residents of the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions who are located in other regions ended on September 4. The turnout in the elections to the legislative assembly of the Zaporozhye region was 18.47%, to the People’s Council of the LPR – 21.87%, to the council of the Lugansk urban district – 0.37%, to the Kherson Regional Duma – 37.66%, to the People’s Council of the DPR – 37.56%, Donetsk City Council – 39.10%.
As a result of the early voting, the CEC did not receive a single complaint from participants, observers, or members of election commissions.
