This year’s first “5 versts” race was held in the City Lake Culture and Recreation Park in Essentuki.
As the Department of Culture, Art and Youth Policy of the city mayor’s office said, the project unites sports lifestyle enthusiasts throughout the country.
To ensure that participants run along the right path, the start route is marked with chips. They have an orange or yellow cone with a hole in the middle.
For the first time, such chips were hand-painted in 2001 in Belgorod. They began to exchange them with the same “author’s” chips with other cities. Essentuki also joined this tradition. Several chips have already gone to different cities.
It was previously reported that The Essentuki singing ensemble reached the finals of the international competition.
