The first 3×3 basketball school in the region was presented in Zlatoust

Olympic Reserve Sports School No. 8 opened its doors to honored guests and sports stars, and most importantly, to the sympathetic Zlatoust public, which was interested in 3×3 basketball.
The presentation was attended by the director of the sports school of the Olympic reserve No. 8, the founder and head coach of the water polo club “Uralochka” Mikhail Nakoryakov; President of the Basketball Federation of the Chelyabinsk Region Nikolai Sandakov; Director of the Chelyabinsk 3×3 Basketball Association Svyatoslav Nakoryakov, Director of the ZMZ plant Sergei Marchenko; current champions of Russia in water polo VK “Uralochka”, as well as the legend of world swimming, four-time Olympic champion Alexander Popov.
The Zlatoust children have another opportunity to direct their energy in the right direction, the opening of the school is very close and the abundance of interest among young people is increasing. And most importantly, these guys will be pioneers in a new sports discipline for the region. Children can learn 3×3 basketball for free. At the moment, children born in 2010-2015 are being recruited.
As part of the presentation, an important event for the development of 3×3 basketball took place – the signing of a trilateral agreement between SShOR No. 8 of Zlatoust, the 3×3 Basketball Association and the Basketball Federation of the Chelyabinsk Region. The parties agreed on cooperation within the framework of the development of the 3×3 basketball discipline.
“I am very pleased that this event received a great positive response, both in our city and in the region. The opening of a 3×3 basketball school is like a link in a big chain. Today we have teams that play in the Russian Championship, there are three-on-three school basketball leagues, and, accordingly, there should be a boost in children’s interest. We are ready to give the guys who want to play basketball the opportunity to practice systematically and help them immerse themselves in the world of 3×3,” commented Svyatoslav Nakoryakov, director of the Chelyabinsk 3×3 Basketball Association.
