The fight between Usik and Fury has been postponed to early 2024

The fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight boxing champion between Ukrainian Alexander Usik and Briton Tyson Fury has been postponed to early 2024. Usik’s promoter Alexander Krasyuk announced this in an interview with the iFL TV YouTube channel.
It was initially announced that the fight would take place on December 23 in Saudi Arabia, and the boxers even signed preliminary contracts. However, Usyk does not have time to prepare for this date, so it was decided to postpone the fight.
Krasyuk emphasized that the fight is being postponed to early 2024, and details about the exact date will be announced soon. Usik is currently actively preparing for the fight; he will conduct part of his training at a sports base in Spain.
“We planned to perform on December 23, there were such agreements. But we all know that if a fighter is not ready, if he does not have the desire to enter the ring, then we will not be able to force him. The whole world is waiting for a big fight, so we need to be flexible. The fight has been postponed to early 2024, and we will do everything in time,” Krasyuk said.
