The fifth Winter Sports Contest of Transneft employees dedicated to the company’s 30th anniversary took place in the Krasnodar Territory. According to the company’s press service, 350 people competed for awards in alpine skiing, snowboarding and hockey.
This year the event featured a record number of teams – 25 from all divisions of the company. Before entering the ski slopes in Krasnaya Polyana, the athletes went through a rigorous selection: first at their own enterprises, and then within the framework of zonal competitions.
But 13 teams competed in hockey skills. And only 4 of them reached the final stages and fought for the Transneft President’s Cup.
Boris Korol, Vice President of the company, noted that the majority of Transneft employees go in for sports. According to him, almost all the participants of the Spartakiad constantly practice in winter sports, and some even show results at the level of professional athletes.
The company encourages and cultivates the passion of its employees for sports. Therefore, Transneft will continue to do everything so that sports fans can realize themselves in it.
The employees of the enterprise themselves also note the contribution of the management in promoting a healthy lifestyle among employees. For example, Anton Nikulin, the winner of the Spartakiad among men-snowboarders, said that the company not only provides all the conditions for sports, but also invites experienced coaches to prepare for the competition.
Transneft held its first sports contest among its employees in 2013. Since then, the level of organization of such events has only grown. This year was no exception – both guests and athletes noted the high level of preparation for the event, which was organized by Chernomortransneft JSC.
