Andrey Isaev, deputy chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, said that the FNPR proposes to hold the First of May without organizing events with a large crowd of people.
According to Isaev, one must take into account the fact that “we are dealing with a terrorist state – Ukraine.”
In turn, FNPR deputy chairman Nina Kuzmina noted that this year the May Day demonstration of trade unions was not planned, so the decision to cancel it was not made. According to her, the executive committee of the FNPR in the current conditions decided on other forms of holding the May Day action.
Last year, for the first time since the pandemic break, trade unions held May Day rallies and marches in most Russian regions. But in Moscow, processions were held together with a motor rally.
