Senator Klimov proposed checking Chkalov’s great-granddaughter for treason

Senator Andrei Klimov responded to the words of the great-granddaughter of pilot Valery Chkalov, Daria Bogdanova, about a nuclear strike on Moscow. He suggested testing her for treason.

Bogdanova previously stated that to end the conflict it would be necessary to strike Moscow with nuclear weapons. She even volunteered to sponsor it.

Klimov then concluded that Russia needs to do more about patriotic education. It was a mistake to abolish it in schools in the 90s, he believes. He also called for verification of Bogdanova’s statements.

“We should check all this against the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Because it seems to me that there are signs of Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which is called “Treason.” Because there are socio-political conclusions, and there are also purely legal ones,” – he said.

Bogdanova left Russia after the start of the SVO and regularly calls on social networks to raise money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
