Senator Karasin jokingly suggested that Borrell was vying for the role of commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Grigory Karasin jokingly suggested that the head of diplomacy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, is vying for the place of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
Karasin wrote in his Telegram channelthat Borrell is “in the vanguard of opponents of any dialogue on a truce” and continues to “give instructions to Kyiv on how to strengthen its defense.”
The senator described Borrell’s statements as utter nonsense.
With his statement, Karasin simultaneously commented on rumors about Zaluzhny’s removal from office and Borrell’s statement about the “falseness” of the idea of reconciliation of participants in the Ukrainian conflict.
