Boris Nadezhdin (Civil Initiative party) submitted documents and voter signatures to the Central Election Commission in his support for registration in the presidential elections. Since Mr. Nadezhdin is a representative of a non-parliamentary party, he needed to collect no less than 100 thousand and no more than 105 thousand signatures, with no more than 2.5 thousand in each region.
“I brought 105 thousand signatures to the Central Election Commission! My team is with me,” the politician wrote on Telegram.
The presidential elections will take place from March 15 to 17. The Central Election Commission has so far registered four candidates: Leonid Slutsky (LDPR), Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party), Vladislav Davankov (New People) and Vladimir Putin (self-nominated).
Yesterday, January 30, the leader of the Russian People’s Union party, Sergei Baburin, withdrew his candidacy. Today, January 31, from further participation in the election race refused Andrey Bogdanov (Russian Party of Freedom and Justice).
