Federal Tax Service: 539 thousand Russians have foreign accounts
The Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation published a report entitled “Results of the activities of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for 2023,” which, among other things, names the number of Russians with foreign accounts.
The document states that as of December 31, 2023, information on 539,100 tax residents of Russia with financial accounts in foreign countries was confirmed.
The department noted that these data were obtained as part of the annual automatic exchange of information with other countries.
