Deputy Prime Minister Khusnullin announced the extension of the A-60 highway from Volgograd to Lugansk
The federal highway A-260, which leads from Volgograd to the border with the LPR, will be renamed R-260 and extended to Lugansk, the press service of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said on Tuesday.
The road leading through Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, as noted in the press service, is included in the key logistics transport chain. “The main cargo is delivered through it,” the message says.
In addition, the A-280 road from Rostov-on-Don will be laid to Simferopol and will also change its name to R-280 Novorossiya.
Thus, Rostov-on-Don, Mariupol, Melitopol and Simferopol will be connected by one route, which will pass through the territory of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the decision to include four highways passing through the territory of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions into the list of federal highways. This status will eventually be assigned to more than 1,000 km of roads.
