The Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund has calculated the population of new regions of Russia

In the draft budget of the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund for next year, the total population of the new Russian regions was mentioned for the first time. According to the MHIF forecast, by January 1, 2024 it will be 3,227,429 people. RBC writes about this.
Earlier it became known that as of September 12 of this year, 2,827,429 Russian passports were issued on the territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, as well as in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that they plan to issue another 400 thousand documents by the end of the year.
The federal budget bill was submitted by the government to the State Duma today. The budget takes into account insurance payments for unemployed residents of the new territories in the amount of 24 billion rubles. Another 14.8 billion comes from working citizens.
At the same time, the total permanent population of Russia, according to Rosstat, on January 1, 2023 was about 146.5 million people.
